As high as a first grader's eye.

The little wall outside Beaser School.

This little wall seemed a thousand feet tall to me when I first started going to kindergarten at Beaser.  I was short and chubby and uncoordinated, and I remember feeling like it would be a Really Big Deal to finally be able to climb on top of it someday (like the big kids!).  And it was! (Even though I think it took me until about the third or fourth grade to finally scale it.)  Funny how such a little architectural blip became such a Big Deal.
